I have to remember to come back and test that !!!!!! Just ftp your retropie and replace the "snes9x_libretro.so" file in the folder after you build from binary/source using the retropie options, if you can't replace directly, add that file into a rom folder (i usually use gameboy color's "gbc" rom folder since I have no roms in there) and then use the "file browser" in retropie to copy and replace that file. "AXELAY" is has lots of sound clicks if "reduce slowdown" isn't enabled, good to test on that that game. Anyway, like I said, its good to fiddle with it, but, its easier to break things. the options that are shuffled, are not detected by the naked eye, its only emulation side. Whats the Point if the emulator is not dropping less frames? Thats the real difference between snes9x and the real high end emulators, forget the names. Sure what your doing doesn't break anything? the source is updated from time to time, maybe check back and give up a update? Maybe Not? Goodluck thanks.

#Snes9x git plus

The project isn't abandoned, plus its hard to say if those option are not already present in the "build from source", build on the retropie's build lists. Gona pass of this, otherwise sounds great TL DR: Without my fancy pants settings, everything on stock, using a pi3b+, anyone should be able to get fullspeed in every special chip game using Griever's lr-snes9x. Turning off threaded video and hack = 60fps/~53fps in room.ĭifferences over lr-snes9x2010 (default)? More accurate emulation but slower, less buggy, actively developed, supports that chip tengai makyo 0 uses, and msu1 custom audio support. Removing the "reduce slowdown" hack = 60fps everywhere. Turning off threaded video and hack = ~50fps/ ~44fps in room. Removing the "reduce slowdown" hack = ~60fps/~53fps in room. "Reduce slowdown" hack set to "compatible". With default video settings on a pi3b+ at stock 1.4Ghz. I haven't tried this on a pi2 or pi3b non plus.

I noticed a speed increase on special chip games.

A really nice optimized version of lr-snes9x made by Griever.
